Bev's Kids
Youth Services
Bev's Kids was created after witnessing both the need for and the impact of mentorship on youth, specifically those involved in the juvenile justice system and Foster Care. Consistent support and encouragement are foundational pieces to the service. Mutual accountability is vital in creating a trusting and productive relationship. We want and need our youth to hold us accountable as we strive to support them in living up to their fullest potential. Bev's Kids is named after our founder and CEO, Marcus Thompson's, mother. It is with the spirit of her kindness and generosity that we build safe and stable relationships with youth across Oregon between 10 - 21 years old.
Service Overview
Mentorship is an individualized service addressing the unique goals and needs of a youth. These goals are created in collaboration with the youth and their support system. Our mentors work with the young person and their family, school, community, and additional providers to help them feel stable and supported in their life journey.
Home of the Empowerment Academy
In addition to one-on-one mentorship services, Bev's Kids offers youth groups through our Empowerment Academy. These groups are an opportunity to build community support with other young people who can relate to their shared experiences and life histories. These groups center around a theme or topic with the hope of providing a therapeutic space to process and receive validation, as well as develop life skills.
